The 90 day non compete clause of Adam Scherr, the former Braun Strowman, has expired, meaning that Scherr is free to sign for any promotion he wishes.
According to an update from Fightful Select, Impact Wrestling is “heavily interested” in acquiring the former WWE Universal champion.
The report states that while there aren’t any details on a deal of any sort, there was word backstage at the recent Impact tapings in Nashville about the company’s reported interest in bringing Scherr in.
Fightful’s report also states that Scherr has had talks with All Elite Wrestling, without any further details.
Scherr recently returned to ring, defeating EC3 in the main event of Free The Narrative II, which aired this past Friday. The match was Scherr’s first since competing in the WWE title macth at WrestleMania Backlash on May 16, against Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre. Scherr was released from WWE on June 2.
Fightful Select previously reported of Impact’s apparent interest in signing Bray Wyatt, saying that the organization has asked a member of their roster that knows Wyatt to help with recruiting him.
